Glow Sticks and Finals

When I was in college I spent more time studying than I did at any clubs or parties. Achieving the highest grades possible was my number one priority. My friends would always plead with me to join them at a rave or club every weekend but I always resisted. That all changed the week after finals when I finally gave in to temptation.

After studying so hard for my final exams I felt the need to let go and have some fun. When my best friend Jessica asked me to check out a local rave I nervously agreed. Jessica promised that I was in for a night I would never forget.

When we arrived at the location for the rave party I began to worry, the alley was dark and empty. Jessica was not worried at all and led me into a large nondescript warehouse. Upon entering the rave party I was mesmerized. The music was loud and hypnotic and the warehouse looked like a giant sea of green lights from the ravers’ glow sticks.

Jessica and I headed out into the crowd and began dancing to the beat of the music. Soon I was dancing with the hottest guy I had ever seen in my life. He created the most beautiful and entrancing patterns with his glow sticks. He never bothered to tell me his name, he simply handed me a pair of glow sticks and began to teach me how to dance with them.

After a few glow stick lessons from my handsome teacher, I was creating my own light patterns. I had never had so much fun in my life and spent hours dancing in the crowd with my glow sticks. Thanks to the rave party, and my glow sticks, I had forgotten about my stressful finals week.
